No load mutual funds

No load mutual funds

If you are going to invest in mutual funds and aren't worried about being green (see our article on Green Mutual Funds) at least use no load mutual funds.

Loads are a front end charge normally around 5% that many funds use to pay the brokers that sold you the funds. These fees are horrible and should never be thrust upon investors. There are many no load mutual funds out there, so when you are looking for a mutual fund whether on your own or through a broker make sure there is no load!
